第五章 校园风云

林凡捏着纸条，走到校园门口。现在是下午三点，正是放学高峰期。 School gates burst into life as recess ends. Students pour out, chatter filling the air. He spots Li Ming and his cronies right away. The sight alone makes his blood boil. Li Ming, thicker-skinned than a python, loudly boasts about his family's business and how his dad can "handle anyone." Hu Tao and a few others hang around, snickering. "Hey, isn't that Lin Fan?" Hu Tao smirks. Li Ming spots Lin Fan too. His eyes narrow. "Lin Fan, you actually dare show your face here? Did you wash your mouth with toilet paper this morning?" Lin Fan keeps his expression blank. He's not here for a fight. He's here to test. "Are you talking to me?" Lin Fan asks calmly. Li Ming's face screws up. "Of course, I'm talking to you! You haven't forgotten my kindness, have you? Remember that time I broke your bike? Well, I've got news for you." He gestures around. "My dad just bought this school. Every teacher, every guard, they all answer to ME. So you better watch your step."
