第五章 城里开店铺
Tablets in hand, I walked towards the city center with a light heart. The rural market near my home was lively, but I felt a yearning for something bigger, something more challenging. I wanted to test my cooking skills on a different audience, see if my grandmother's recipes would still charm people in such a bustling environment. The city center was a sea of people, vendors, and the sweet aroma of various street foods. I felt slightly out of place at first, standing in a corner with my plate of fried chicken and vegetables. However, my grandmother's recipes were too good to be ignored. Soon, a line began to form, and I knew I had to work harder to make my place in this competitive market. As I worked, a group of young men approached. They were loud and seemed to be looking for a good time. One of them noticed me and smirked. "Hey, what's cookin' there? A girl cooking? Let's see if you're as tasty as your food." I felt a prickle of annoyance but tried to stay calm. "I'm cooking for everyone, not just for you. So, watch what you say."
